Your system administrator can define tools to be used for manipulating events in the event list, and add these tools to the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus desktop menus for your use. You can use such tools to run SQL commands on the ObjectServer, and to run external commands such as a local application batch file, or script.
A number of standard tools are provided with event list. These include the Ping and Telnet tools. These can be run independently of events.
