From the event list, you can view full details of any selected
events. Event information that is stored in the alerts.status, alerts.details,
and alerts.journal database tables is shown.
About this task
To display full information about one or more events:
Procedure
- From the event list, perform one of the following actions:
- To view information for a single event, double-click the event,
or select the event and then click .
- To view information for multiple events, select the events
and then click .
The Event Information window opens.
- Use this window as follows:
- Alert Fields
- Click this tab to view a list of all the columns and their corresponding
values for a selected event. This information is stored in the ObjectServer
alerts.status table. You can click any column in the list to see the complete
text for its value in the field below the list of columns. The full value
of the Summary column is shown by default.
- Alert Details
- Click this tab to view alert details that are stored in the ObjectServer
alerts.details table.
- Journal
- Click this tab to view the journal entries for the event, as stored in
the ObjectServer alerts.journal table.
- You can enter additional journal entries by clicking Add To
Journal to open the full Journal window for
the event that is currently selected. On completion, close this window to
return to the Event Information window.
Tip: While
within any of the tabs, you can copy alert information from the Event
Information window to the clipboard. Select the information that
you want to copy, right-click the selected text, and then click Copy
to Clipboard (UNIX) or Copy (Windows)
from the pop-up menu. You can then paste this information into another application.
- Previous
- If you selected multiple events from the event list, click this button
to display detailed information for the previous event in your selection.
This action can fail if events have been deleted elsewhere in the system.
- Next
- If you selected multiple events from the event list, click this button
to display detailed information for the next event in your selection. This
action can fail if events have been deleted elsewhere in the system.
- Close
- Click this button to close this window.
