Automatically viewing updates to the event list

You can control how the event list scrolls when an update occurs. The Jump to Top feature can help you to quickly review updated events.

About this task

When the Jump to Top feature is enabled, the event list automatically scrolls to the top row whenever new events are added to the event list. If you disable the Jump to Top feature, the event list retains its current state when updates occur.

To enable the Jump to Top feature, click View > Jump To Top. This menu option has a toggle effect, so that if you click the Jump To Top option again, the Jump to Top feature becomes disabled.

Tip: You can ensure that the Jump to Top feature is enabled every time you open an event list. From the Event List monitor box window, click Windows > Preferences to open the Event List Preferences window. On the Misc tab of this window, select the Jump Button on By Default option.
