The directory that contains software files or plug-ins that are shared by packages. The contents of this directory are used by all products in all the package groups that are defined on the computer.

To update Installation Manager data with new information about an imported package after detecting changes. Changes to an imported package can be caused by using a tool other than Installation Manager to install or remove maintenance, add or remove a feature, or install or remove a stack product after the package is imported.

A license key that provides clients access to an application for a specified time for product evaluation purposes.

Software maintenance such as a manufacturing refresh, refresh pack, or fix pack that changes the modification level of a product.

A separately licensed program that typically has significant new code or new function.
